We are a family of four who live in Chiswick in West London. We have two boys who are 6 and 4. We live in a typical London house and are looking for a warm friendly and completely responsible au pair who does have some experience in child care to come and live with us for at least one year. It is very important that the girl we choose is over 23 years and she must speak fluent English and can drive happily in London. It would also help if she is sporty and energetic my boys are looking for a companion to share their many interests. I need my chosen au pair to work five days a week for about 25 hours in the term time and longer hours during the half term and holidays. Depending on my work schedule. I work freelance and try to limit my work load during school holidays. During term time your hours may also change. My self or my husband like to take the boys to school but on occasion you may need to do the morning school run. School pick up is 3pm (2.30 on a Friday) During the holidays you would of course have to be more flexible. The truth is that I will sometimes be around after school and sometimes not depending on how busy we are. So I would say that you would have sole charge on a part time basis. Your duties would include cooking meals (for the kids school pick ups entertaining the kids helping with homework and doing light housework and ironing (we do have a weekly cleaner) and trips to the park playground sports club. I am very keen that my chosen au pair has already worked for at least another family for a proper length of time. I will require at least two references. It is so important that you are overly responsible with lots of common sense and has a genuine love for children. I expect you to put your heart and soul into the job as well as using your time off constructively to pursue other hobbies and interests. I believe that a Get up and go attitude will rub off on my children. There is also a big nanny network at the school so there will be plenty of opportunities to meet other people. Chiswick as an area is extremely safe and very pretty. We are next to a beautiful park and walking distance to the river. We are a ten minute walk to our local high Road which is full of shops and restaurants. We have a tube and train station which are walking distance too. The travelling time by bus car and train to central London is about half and hour. We are a very easy going family who are looking for someone who will just fit in. I must stress that please do not reply to this ad unless your English is fluent. My boys are energetic fun and great company I assure you that you will have a lovely experience living with our family. As our last au pair did. I would really like to meet my potential au pair face to face (unless under exceptional circumstances) before coming for a trial for a few days so it would be ideal if you are already in London. Finally I would offer you a salary of £100 per week (inclusive of mobile phone yop up and travel card) for 25 hours 2 nights babysitting and £4 for any additional hours. You would have a beautiful double room at the top of the house with your own private bathroom. I am looking for someone to start soon as we had expected our new au pair this week but due to unforeseen circumstances she is unable to come.
