We are looking for a fun lovely flexible au pair to look after our 6 year old son. You must have fluent English and ideally be from Australia or New Zealand. My husband works from home and I work full-time in school term time and part time in school holidays I also have the flexibility to work from home. Flexibility is key as we may often not be able to confirm your schedule more than a couple of days in advance. However likely hours are 2.00pm to 7.00pm during term time and 9.00am to 7.00pm three days per week during school holidays. We would also like you to take on the babysitting activity of 1 night per week and may occassionally need help getting our son to school. Your main responsibilities will include taking care of our son ensuring he is safe and secure at all times. You will be responsible organising his food his bath time taking him to play dates having his friends over to play and doing his homework and his general well being. You will be responsible for keeping him stimulated and well behaved. You will be required to change his bed and towels once a week undertake general admin such as go to the post office pick up bits of food (not large shopping tidy the house help him put toys away play games collect cleaning etc. In addition you need to take care of our dog Poppy. She needs to be walked and feed each day and our Hamster who needs feeding each day. We also need some help around the house this may involve light cleaning (i.e. sweeping kitchen floor hanging up washing emptying the dishwasher etc. There is no heavy duty cleaning work or ironing as we have a cleaner. We are able to guarantee 25 hours per week. This allows you to be paid consistently despite us using fewer hours. Ideally you will live locally you need to have at least 2 years previous experience you will have checkable references. You should be able to show your passport and be able to commit to us for at least 1 year. Also you need to be a non-smoker. We would like someone that will be happy working with us and help us build a happy and fun loving home for our son. Ideally you should be able to start as soon as possible.
