We are a busy friendly family living in Ealing West London. We are looking for a kind caring mature and efficient person to help us look after our young son who will be 2 years old at the end of May 2010. We live in a quiet residential street with friendly neighbours many of whom have children. Our son attends nursery full time (8am 5pm Monday to Friday. Because both of us work full time we need someone to take our son to the nursery (a five minute walk away) and collect him at the end of each day. We also need support with other tasks related to our son and some light housework. We are very close to several tube & train stations and main bus routes. Ealing is a lively area with lots of shops bars caf s and parks within walking distance. The closest tube station Ealing Common (5 minutes walk away) will get you into central London in 30 minutes. If you intend to study English there are several English Language Colleges nearby several within walking distance. Responsibilities Getting our son up in the morning at 7am giving him his morning milk dressing him & taking him to the nursery for 8am where he has his breakfast and picking him up at 5pm to bring him home & feed him. One of us will be home between 6 6.15pm to take over. Note that the nursery is a five minute walk away from our house. We try to help with his morning routine most days during the week whenever we can Keeping our son s room clean & tidy Changing nappies and feeding him (morning and evening if we are not available) Preparing our sons nursery bag for each day (nappies change of clothing etc) Doing his laundry Heating simple food for our son (we home prepare all his food and freeze it) to eat in the evening Keeping the house clean & tidy Running occasional errands e.g. going to the post office picking up dry cleaning going to the shops etc Taking out the rubbish and emptying bins in the house Helping with household tasks e.g. loading & unloading the dishwasher laundry and ironing (e.g. shirts etc Keeping your own accommodation clean & tidy and keeping it in good condition Accommodation You will have your own floor of the house which comprises a self contained studio flat with a large studio area with kitchenette & luxury en-suite wet-room bathroom. There is ample storage and space in addition to the usual furniture which includes a desk. Tv Dvd player freeview box and wireless broadband internet connection provided. Hours 25 hours a week. The core hours will be between 7-8am in the morning and 5 6.15pm in the evening Monday to Friday to do the nursery run. All other hours are flexible with other tasks being fitted around language courses etc. 2 evenings of babysitting a week to be agreed in advance. This may occasionally be at weekends but will again be agreed in advance. Weekends will be free other than any evening babysitting that has been agreed with you in advance.
