Located in the heart of the central London we are situated between Russell Square and Kings Cross stations. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Welcome Host Assistant based at The Generator Hostel. Your role Responsible for putting menu s and games posters on every floor reception and kitchen and by the door. To provide excellent customer service during all aspect of your work (chatting to guest promoting and or hosting events) Make sure the bar area looks always tidy and the tables are always cleaned Conduct monitor and review the daily activities (quiz fun pool hard man etc) making sure that all guests will have the opportunity to take part. Attend monthly meeting with the bar manager during which you have to organize and review the upcoming month events. Create organize and host themed parties throughout the month and to match the budget requirements. To ensure the communication is always up to date with all the departments and with the web designer so that you can promote all the events through the website Keep actively searching for sponsor opportunities for the bar activities. Making sure there is a fun and relax atmosphere in the bar area. To comply with all the company policies you have been trained on which includes fire training health safety. If you have doubts regarding policies please speak to your Manager. To ensure that high standards of work are being achieved thereby making sure customer satisfaction. Also to maintain these standards and ensure you are re-trained where necessary particularly when new policies or ideas are introduced. Job requirements 1 year experience in organising events and or parties. 1 year experience in working for a medium to large Hostel Hotel environment preferable. Customer focused with excellent customer service skills as you will be interacting and selling products to our guests. Able to show initiative and work on their own and be a self starter. Able to multi tasks and handle guest queries and questions. Have patience and understanding when dealing with our guests. Creative and open minded individual.
