Our client an award winning restaurant in the heart of Mayfair requires a professional friendly proactive Assistant Sommelier to join their team. You will have at least 1 year s continuous experience in a fine dining establishment at a Michelin starred level or equivalent. You must also have good wine knowledge. The position is available immediately and is full time. What The Client Is Looking For With over 15 year s successful trading our client prides itself on its enthusiasm style and panache and looks for these qualities in its staff. You will be expected to Support the Sommelier in managing the wine list including ordering stock control and supplier liaison. Take joint responsibility for all aspects of drinks service at the restaurant Maintain the high levels of service the establishment is known for throughout the guest s time at the restaurant. Upsell where appropriate. Be fully familiar both with the restaurant s 150 bin wine list and their menus About The Client The restaurant is well known for its personable friendly approach with its employees. It looks in turn for loyal committed and hardworking staff. The Salary The salary is £17000 gross per annum. You must be fully eligible to work in the UK to apply for this position.
